Short-term Climbing Opportunity Available

Harrogate Borough Council may have a short-term climbing opportunity for a qualified climber, and I was wondering whether any of you knew of anybody currently looking for such an opportunity?  I can’t say for certain at this time but it would likely be between the dates of the 25 February – 31 March 2015, possibly shorter or longer (actual dates to be confirmed later).  The council operates a 4-day week during this period, i.e. Friday’s are non-working days.  The contract would be for a 30 hour week.

If you know of anybody who may be interested in applying for this please can you pass on my contact details and ask them to contact me at their earliest convenience.

Many thanks in anticipation.

National Register for Trees of Special Interest – Campaign

The Woodland Trust in collaboration with country Living Magazine have launched a campaign for government to set up a National Register for Trees of Special Interest e.g. ancient, veteran & notable trees. One example of having a such a register is the possiblity that owners of these important trees might be able to access Heritage Lottery Grant funding for essentail management works. There are many other good reasons for having such a register. For further details and to sign up to the campaign, please follow the link below.
